Happened earlier today and I was actually in the shower when the power got knocked out. Thankfully I learned my lesson already.
Took the power company 5-20 minutes to get the issue resolved and the neighborhood powered back up. Something around 2,000 homes were affected by this thing. I can be thankful that it wasn’t in the middle of the night or during something more critical.
So it is the end of June, 13th, 2014. A Friday. Thankfully nothing strange happened. It was actually a good day. Found some good reading material. Still going thought E3 announcements and had some “comfort” food for dinner.
If you didn’t know about it already, Jasco Games is developing a Mega Man tabletop board game. The video above is prototype gameplay footage showing off Mega Man and Roll going through a few stages and boss battles.

Here in Illinois, we have been experiencing some really cold weather. For the past few days the temps have been below freezing. -14 , -11 and haven’t hit above freezing. This is on top of the several inches of show that we got.
It’s been so bad that none of the local restaurants were willing to deliver and the public schools are closed because of the cold temps.
It’s Halloween and so I’ve got to get the candy prepped. I checked the weather and it looks to be a rainy day. The whole day. I wonder how many people are going to continue with outdoor trick or treat? Hope everyone else has a fun and safe one.
Here is a Light show syncronized to the Ghostbusters theme song.
This video was actually posted online sometime earlier in the moth. Adam of The Mythbusters and Norm of Tested.com build a replica of Han Solo’s iconic blaster. The DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol. I really found this to be quite interesting. Two guys talking shop about a Star Wars prop.
Still been regularly serving at the Food Pantry/Care Center since my last post. My actions have continued to indirectly affected the lives of hundreds of families. Meeting new volunteer members, chatting it up with fellow team members. Seeing different food products and brands. I’ve also been learning about the complexities of diapers, training pants, and various feminine care products. As one of the people responsible if we had stock/usable inventory for that particular service day. The biggest thing was dealing with changes in preparation for “The Move” new procedures and floorplans and serving times.
